Integration, Integration, and More Integration

Welcome to Trippy Monday’s, where I go over 3 things that caught my attention from this past week. Enjoy!

(1) I’m working on re-integrating my ayahuasca experience from Peru. This feels weird to me because it happened so long ago – 8 months at this point – but I recognize that it only feels weird because of my preconceptions of what I want integration to be. In my ideal world, integration happens right after a big peak experience for maybe 1 – 2 months, and then you’re good – you can move on with your life. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Integration is a lifelong journey. It isn’t linear either. Taking time to re-integrate this experience isn’t a knock on everything I’ve done so far during my initial integration. It’s more my recognizing that there is once again some room in my life to prioritize self-love at the center of everything I’m doing. That was a huge focus for me after I came back from my trip.

I had never truly felt unconditional self-love before that point. After I got back, I realized it was the only thing that matters. Everything else will always work itself out if I can love myself fully and completely wherever I’m at. I’m at another point in my life where it feels like I’m going through a big transition, so this reintegration of my experience – specifically surrounding self-love – is my way of staying grounded.

(2) I posted a full ass post on my blog last week, titled “The Only Way Out is Through.” I haven’t written a post like this in a couple of months, and I just felt a nice sense of accomplishment for writing it. It mainly just talks about where I’m at with my writing and the projects I’m working on through a vulnerable lens. Go check it out!

(3) I got accepted to be a volunteer at Psychedelic Science 2023, which is a huge psychedelic convention happening here in Denver June 19 – 23. The news about being accepted to volunteer came only a week after I was originally put on a waitlist. I was initially pretty disappointed when that happened, so getting the email saying I’m accepted felt that much better. Also, now I don’t have to spend $800 on a ticket to get in lol.

If you’re going to be in Denver for the convention, shoot me a message, and let’s link up!
