Welcome to Trippy Monday’s, where I go over 3 things that caught my attention from this past week. Enjoy!
(1) My friend, Sofie, a psychedelic writer, invited me to collaborate with her on a new newsletter she launched called Shroomtown. I was honored when she asked me to be part of this. Our goal for Shroomtown is to report on the psychedelic scene from the underground perspective. We want to write fun and interesting pieces covering various psychedelic topics, including product reviews, opinion pieces, book reviews, and more.
We’re only just getting started, but I love working with another person on something psychedelic-related. I’ve been working on TripSitting and everything else entirely on my own, which certainly has its advantages, but collaborating with another person, especially one of my friends that I made through TripSitting, is special.
I put out my first piece last week, titled “Want to Go to a Conference but Don’t Want to Pay $2,000? Volunteer!” Go check it out.
(2) “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” – Abraham Lincoln
This is a quote you’ve probably heard before, but it’s a great one. I often feel that if I’m not actively “doing” something, that I’m not working towards my goal. This quote reminds me that the preparation for something counts just as much if not more than the “doing” part.
(3) I was a guest on the Plants Saved My Life Podcast. I’ve been following Raven and this podcast since he launched, and I was really excited to be able to tell my story and share my thoughts with him. The episode won’t be released until a couple of months from now most likely, but I’m still so hyped about being a guest that I had to share now. I’ll be sure to let you know once it drops.
I continue to be honored and humbled by some of the people in this space doing incredible work to destigmatize psychedelics and speak openly about these drugs. Thank you, Raven!
